Issue #18 | JULY 06 - 12, 2026

From the EditorThis week’s issue has plenty of the good summer stuff we love to share — Market on Main, live music, baseball, farmers markets, and family events across Mesa County. But it also arrives after a heavy week for our region. After the Snyder Fire tragedy, we’re setting aside our usual sponsor space to share a benefit account for the firefighter families affected. Three firefighters lost their lives, and two others were injured while serving communities along the Colorado–Utah border. It’s a reminder that behind every emergency response are real people, real families, and neighbors willing to step into danger for the rest of us.So enjoy the week. Get outside. Support local events. Take your family to something fun. But also take a moment to remember the firefighters and families carrying a much heavier burden right now.— Mesa County Digest

Issue #17 | JUNE 29 - JULY 5, 2026

Happy Monday, Mesa County! Issue #17 lands right in the middle of a big holiday week, with America’s 250th birthday celebrations, local parades, fireworks, concerts, baseball, markets, and plenty of red-white-and-blue fun across the Grand Valley. It’s also a good week to remember that much of Western Colorado is dealing with heat, dry conditions, smoke, and nearby wildfires, so let’s celebrate big — but celebrate responsibly. Support local events, follow fire restrictions, be smart with fireworks, and look out for the firefighters, first responders, and neighbors working to keep our communities safe. Mesa County Digest - Special Edition

A quick note from Mesa County Digest: A few times a year, we put together a short list of the bigger events worth buying early — concerts, festivals, comedy shows, and special events that may sell out or get expensive later. This issue is intentionally short. We cut it down to the events between now and the end of July that we think are most worth having on your radar.
