🏈 This Week in Sports 🏈

Local school sports are starting to wind down for the year, so it’s a quieter week on the high school and CMU front. But don’t worry — one of Grand Junction’s biggest annual sports traditions is right around the corner. The Alpine Bank NJCAA JUCO World Series returns to Suplizio Field May 23–30, bringing some of the best junior college baseball teams in the country to town. 🏡 Grand Junction completes all Prop 123 housing requirements
Grand Junction became the largest city in Colorado so far to complete all Proposition 123 requirements, with the city adding 374 more affordable homes as part of the effort. That’s a solid local win during Affordable Housing Month.

🏒 CMU Hockey raises record $38,000 for local cancer programs
Colorado Mesa University Hockey’s 9th Annual Pink the Rink set a new fundraising record, raising $38,000 for local cancer programs. Since the event began in 2016, CMU Hockey has raised $240,000 to support patients and families on the Western Slope.
